New Life Spectrum Insectum Regular 2.2kg

Description

New Life Spectrum Insectum Regular 2.2kg — Bulk 1–1.5 mm sinking insect pellets for shops, breeders and large collections

For a shop, a breeder or anyone feeding dozens of tanks, small packs mean constant reordering and a different batch in every jar. New Life Spectrum Insectum Regular 2.2kg (SKU: 124767) is the bulk size of Insectum Regular, the fine-pellet version of New Life Spectrum’s insect-protein diet. The pellet is 1 to 1.5 mm and sinks, and the recipe is the maker’s soy-free Spectrum Nutrition Formula with whole Antarctic krill, fish oil, moringa leaf and five insect proteins: mealworms, silkworm pupae, black soldier fly larvae, crickets and grasshoppers. At 2.2 kg it is the largest pack available in the range and holds nearly fifteen times as much as the 150 g size.

The Regular grade is meant for small mouths, so a collection of tetras, rasboras, small livebearers or growing fry is where a bulk pack is used up before it ages. Fish that outgrow it can move to Insectum Medium at 2 to 2.5 mm or Large at 3 to 3.5 mm without a change of recipe, and a keeper holding several grades can match the pellet to each tank. New Life Spectrum describes the food as a daily diet suited to a wide variety of fish and advises feeding its diets exclusively. The maker’s directions for its other sinking pellets are two feeds daily, finished in about a minute. With a pack this size, storage matters more than with a small jar: keep it sealed, cool and dry, and work from a smaller container filled from the main supply.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• Shops and fish rooms: A single food for a large number of tanks with small fish.
• Breeding programmes: Fine pellets for fry and juveniles being grown out.
• Long-term feeding: A fully committed insect-protein diet for a big collection.
• Cost per feed: Keepers who have already confirmed their fish accept the food.

Feeding Guide

• Use a day container: Fill a small tub from the main pack and keep the rest sealed.
• Two feeds a day: Keep each portion small and finished within a minute.
• Rotate stock: Use older food first and note when the pack was opened.
