New Life Spectrum Koi Grow 1.6kg

Description

New Life Spectrum Koi Grow 1.6kg — Smaller floating koi pellet for growing fish, in a pond-starter pack

Young koi grow quickly when the food suits their mouths and the water stays clean, and a smaller pellet is easier for them to take than a full-size adult one. New Life Spectrum Koi Grow 1.6kg (SKU: 724782) is the 1.6 kg pack of Koi Grow, the growth-focused pellet in New Life Spectrum’s koi range. It is a floating pellet in a smaller form than the 5.5 to 6 mm Basics and Show grades, based on a koi-tuned version of the Spectrum Nutrition Formula. The koi range as a whole is described by the maker as combining krill, fish oil, seaweeds and insect protein, with aquatic vegetables added, and it states there are no soybean additives. Five insect proteins are named for the range: silkworm pupae, black soldier fly larvae, mealworms, grasshoppers and crickets.

The Grow name follows New Life Spectrum’s extra-protein Grow formula for young fish, and this koi version is intended for the needs of carp-type pond fish. It is the grade for juvenile koi, and for keepers with small ponds and a mix of fish that have not reached full size. As the fish put on length, they can be moved to Koi Basics for everyday feeding or Koi Show for colour-focused feeding. The 1.6 kg pack is the smaller of the two Koi Grow sizes, which makes it the practical one for a small pond or a quarantine and grow-out tub. Feeding rates are on the pack; small, frequent portions finished within a few minutes keep the water cleaner than larger meals.
