New Life Spectrum Koi Show 4.5kg

Description

New Life Spectrum Koi Show 4.5kg — Floating 5.5–6 mm colour pellet in a mid-size bag for serious koi keepers

A keeper who feeds a colour diet through a whole show season needs more than a trial pack, and less than a bulk drum. New Life Spectrum Koi Show 4.5kg (SKU: 724780) is the 4.5 kg bag of Koi Show, New Life Spectrum’s colour-focused pellet for show and display koi. It is a floating 5.5 to 6 mm pellet, and the maker describes the koi foods as high-density pellets of krill, fish oil, seaweeds and insect protein with aquatic vegetables. Five insect proteins are named, silkworm pupae, black soldier fly larvae, mealworms, grasshoppers and crickets, and the maker states there are no soybean additives. The bag is nearly three times the 1.6 kg pack and a little over half the 8 kg size.

New Life Spectrum describes the range as one pellet that supplies the variety koi need, and says its density means less waste and more feedings from each bag. Within the range Show is the colour option, Basics is the everyday staple and Grow is the juvenile grade. At 4.5 kg the bag fits a keeper with a dozen or so koi in a single pond, or someone who runs Show for the selected fish and a cheaper staple for the rest. Because this food is chosen for results that show on the fish over weeks, it makes sense to use it consistently rather than swapping foods from feed to feed, and to judge it in clean, well-filtered water. Feeding rates are on the pack. Keep the bag closed and cool between uses, and pour the daily amount into a separate scoop tub so that damp hands never go into the main supply.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• Show-season feeding: A colour diet used steadily across the weeks before a show.
• Keeper ponds: A pond of a dozen or more fish where Show is the main food.
• Mixed-diet systems: Show for selected koi and a staple for the rest.
• Repeat buyers: Keepers who already know the fish accept the pellet.

Feeding Guide

• Read the label: Portions and frequency are given on the bag.
• Keep it consistent: Avoid switching foods every few feeds when judging colour.
• Use a scoop tub: Reseal the main bag after each refill.
• Adjust to temperature: Reduce the amount as the water cools.
