New Life Spectrum Medium Sinking 2.2kg

Description

New Life Spectrum Medium Sinking 2.2kg — Bulk 2–2.5 mm all-purpose sinking pellets for mid-sized tropical fish

Fish that have outgrown the regular pellet but are not yet ready for the large size are where many fish rooms get stuck. New Life Spectrum Medium Sinking 2.2kg (SKU: 102274) is the bulk pack of New Life Spectrum’s all-purpose tropical pellet in the medium size, 2 to 2.5 mm. It carries the same recipe as the regular pellet, protein from whole Antarctic krill and whole herring with no soybean products, but in a size that suits angelfish, larger tetras and barbs, rainbowfish, gouramis and mid-sized cichlids. The 2.2 kg pack is aimed at breeders, shops, clubs and keepers who feed a number of tanks every day.

The formula adds whole wheat flour, algae, beta carotene, spirulina, garlic, a vegetable and fruit extract and a vitamin and mineral pack. According to the Australian distributor of the regular size, the guaranteed analysis is crude protein 37% minimum, crude fat 8% minimum, crude fibre 7% maximum, moisture 10% maximum and ash 10% maximum, with vitamin A at 10,000 IU/kg and vitamin D at 3,500 IU/kg minimum. New Life Spectrum states there are no added hormones and describes the dense recipe as producing less waste and cleaner water. Feed twice daily in an amount eaten within one to two minutes. Medium pellets sink, so they reach fish that feed lower in the tank, and a mixed group of juveniles and adults can often share them. Because a bulk pack is opened many times, decant a few weeks of food at a time and keep the rest sealed.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• Mid-sized tropical fish: Angelfish, gouramis, larger tetras and barbs, and rainbowfish.
• Grow-out tanks: A step up from the regular pellet as juveniles put on size.
• Cichlid communities: Medium cichlids that ignore finer pellets.
• High-volume feeding: A bulk pack for shops and fish rooms.
