New Life Spectrum Thera A Jumbo 600g

Description

New Life Spectrum Thera A Jumbo 600g — Garlic-enriched 7.5–8 mm sinking pellet for very large, big-mouthed fish

A pellet of 3 mm disappears in the mouth of a fish that swallows whole prey, and feeding it by the handful wastes time and money. New Life Spectrum Thera A Jumbo 600g (SKU: 102315) is the Jumbo pellet of the Thera+A line, listed by Kiwi Petz at 7.5 to 8 mm and sinking, built on the Spectrum Nutrition Formula with extra garlic, omega-3 and higher protein. New Life Spectrum describes the recipe as non-medicated and intended for stressed or newly acquired fish that may not have a full appetite, and the Jumbo size extends that approach to the biggest fish in the hobby.

The maker’s published wording is that garlic has been shown to increase parasite resistance and immune function in tropical fish and that it is also a strong attractant. The ingredients begin with krill, squid, whole wheat flour and fish, then garlic and fish oil, with seaweeds, kelp and chlorella following. Guaranteed analysis is crude protein 39% minimum, crude fat 9% minimum, crude fibre 8% maximum and moisture 10% maximum, with vitamins A, D, E and C declared at 10,000, 3,500, 400 and 600 IU/kg minimum. The range directions are to feed twice daily and offer only what is finished in one to two minutes, which at this size is a small count of pellets.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• Very large cichlids: Fish that ignore or choke on fine pellets.
• Big predatory fish: Species that take food in large single bites at mid-water or the bottom.
• Stressed or new fish: A strong attractant for large imports or rescues that refuse food.
• Few-fish tanks: A 600 g pack suits one or two large fish and avoids buying a bulk bag.

Feeding Guide

• Two meals daily: Large fish digest better from two measured feeds.
• Count, do not scoop: Offer a handful of pellets by number and stop when interest drops.
• Check the swallow: If a fish struggles with the size, soak the pellet briefly or step down to Large.
• Remove leftovers: Large pellets decay on the substrate, so net or siphon them out.
