A reef tank depends on its plumbing, and a noisy overflow or a cramped sump makes the hobby hard work. ReefSys 180 Marine Tank 180L 60 L X 55 D X 53cm H 10mm Inc Plumbing (SKU: 53446) is the smallest of Aqua One’s ReefSys open-top marine aquariums, a rimless 60 × 55 × 53 cm system in 10 mm low-iron Opti-Clear glass, supplied with its plumbing. Aqua One’s brochure gives it up to 144 L of display water and a 36 L modular sump for a 180 L system volume, plus a 12 L top-up reservoir. The sump comes with two adjustable baffles, one of them movable, and low-splash sock silencers, so the owner chooses the equipment.

An overflow lid reduces algae growth inside the overflow box and keeps fish out of the plumbing area, a backup emergency drain guards against overflowing, and Aqua One says the system is designed for high flow rates with quiet plumbing. The back panel is black glass to set off coral colours, and a foam base supports the frameless tank. No heater or light is included, and the matching 60 × 55 × 80 cm cabinet is sold separately in White (53446WH-S), Nebraska Oak (53446NO-S) and Concrete (53446CC-S). Aqua One pairs the range with its ReefSkim needle-wheel protein skimmer, and the ReefSys filter sock (53443-FS) is the replacement for all three sizes. Aqua One backs it with a one-year guarantee, and the larger ReefSys 255 (53443) and 326 (53444) follow the same design.
