The P50 is the preset heater that covers the common nano and desktop sizes, from a 19 litre Spec to a 50 litre cube. Fluval Pre Set Aquarium Heater 50w P50 (SKU: MRN26) is the 50 W model in Fluval’s P-Series, preset to hold 24 to 26 °C (76 to 78 °F) with no dial to set or knock, and rated for fresh and saltwater aquariums up to 50 litres (15 US gal). It is fully submersible in an ultra-strong, durable polymer casing that Fluval describes as shatterproof, protecting the tank and its inhabitants, and an LED running lamp shows when the element is on.

At 15.5 × 4 × 2 cm it is a compact unit that fixes to the glass with suction cups, and Fluval designed the P-Series to integrate with its Spec and Flex all-in-one kits, where it fits in the rear filter chamber out of sight. Fluval notes a heater may not reach its preset if the room is more than about 8 °C below it, so a cold room may call for a second heater. The smaller P10 (MRN23) and P25 handle 10 and 25 litre tanks. Warranty is two years, the cord is not replaceable, and the heater must never run out of water.

Installation Guide

• Mount it: Suction cups onto glass at the rear near the water flow, fully submerged above the MAX mark; maximum depth 0.9 m.
• Acclimatise: Ten minutes in the water before plugging in, with a drip loop in the cord.
• Verify: The LED shows heating; check the actual temperature with a separate thermometer and add capacity if the room is cold.
• Clean safely: Unplug, cool for 30 minutes, then soak in vinegar and rinse; never run it dry or use chemical cleaners.
