A 60 cm tank is common enough that most hoods take it for granted, yet the stock fluorescent tube that comes with one still fades and discolours water over a year or two of use. Aquael Leddy Tube Sunny 10w Day & Night (SKU: 113197) is the mid-small module in Aquael’s Leddy Tube Sunny 2.0 range, a 415 mm LED tube rated at 10 W, 7000 K and about 900 lm in Aquael’s universal SUNNY spectrum. It is built as a direct LED replacement for the fluorescent tube in the Leddy 60, Leddy 60 XL and Glossy Cube hoods, matching their fitting length rather than needing a new light body.

Like the rest of the Sunny range, this module simulates a diurnal cycle through three fixed modes: DAY at full 900 lm output for the main part of the day, DAYBREAK at roughly half power with added blue light either side of DAY, and NIGHT as a dim blue glow for watching the tank after dark without disturbing nocturnal fish. Modes step forward with a power-off of under five seconds, and a longer break resets the sequence back to DAY, so no app is required to run the daily cycle, though Aquael’s SOCKET Link Duo controller can automate it. Where the existing hood is an older T5 or T8 fluorescent fixture of around 535 to 665 mm rather than a Leddy hood, Aquael’s separate T5/T8 adapters extend the tube to fit. The module is backed by Aquael’s two-year warranty.
