Chihiros Commander 1 For Bluetooth Control (SKU: D-CCommander 1) is Chihiros’ Bluetooth edition controller, a small inline unit that gives a Chihiros LED without built-in Bluetooth the same app control as the newer lights. It is set from the free My Chihiros app on iOS and Android, and European distributor Aquasabi lists a timer for switching at chosen times, sunrise and sunset simulation and stepped brightness control. It runs from the light’s own power supply, so no second adapter is needed.

Aquasabi lists the Commander 1 for the Chihiros A, B, C and S series, and its support team states it is designed for Chihiros lamps only, not other brands. Hungarian retailer Green Aqua adds group settings, so several tanks can be run from one app, and a memory function that restores the last settings after a power outage. It replaces the basic dimmer some Chihiros lights ship with. The phone needs Bluetooth switched on to connect and make changes. In this range it is the controller for the non-Bluetooth Chihiros Series B II lights; the Series A II lights already have Bluetooth built in and do not need it.
