Four-foot planted tanks were once lit with a hood full of T5 tubes, and the A II does a similar job in a strip 10 mm thick. Chihiros Series A II 120cm (Bluetooth) (SKU: D-CA2-120) is the A II 1201, the longest model in Chihiros’ A II planted-tank series, with 120 LEDs at 53 W in three rows along a 1,185 mm aluminium body. It sits on clear acrylic legs that bring it to 1,200 mm, matching the length of a standard 120 cm aquarium, and its Bluetooth controller is built in for scheduling from the My Chihiros app.

European distributor Aquasabi lists about 5,000 lumens for this size, and other listings quote around 4,800, either way the highest output in the range. The white LEDs cover roughly 400 to 700 nm with extra weight in red and blue for photosynthesis, and the 67 mm wide body spreads them across a deep footprint. In the app each light gets its own timer, brightness and sunrise and sunset ramps, so a large display can wake slowly before the room lights come on. Tanks of this length often use thicker glass; the acrylic legs are made for thin rimless panes, and Aquasabi says the mount does not suit 12 mm glass, so the optional Chihiros suspension kit is the alternative. A II lights are not meant for use under a closed lid.
