A 45 cm tank and a 60 cm tank rarely share a light, yet plenty of aquariums sit somewhere between the two. Chihiros Series B II 45cm (SKU: D-CB-45) is the B45 from Chihiros’ B series, a 426 mm aluminium LED on extendable feet that fit tanks from 45 to 65 cm long. It has 36 white LEDs on the outer rows and 9 RGB 3-in-1 LEDs down the centre, 45 in total, drawing 28.9 W for a listed 1,747 lumens. That is a clear step up from the B30 in both LED count and output, sized for a 45 cm aquascape with room to spare.

The B45 is the non-Bluetooth version, so on its own it switches with the power supply; adding the Chihiros Commander 1, sold separately, gives a timer, dimming and sunrise and sunset ramps through the My Chihiros app. Australian retailer Nature Aquariums lists the same 28.9 W and 1,747 lm figures and the 45 to 65 cm range. The feet suit glass up to 8 mm thick, and the aluminium body is 12 mm high and 56 mm deep, keeping the light visually out of the way. Chihiros’ lumen values are laboratory figures, the light is not designed for use under a closed lid, and for a tank deeper than 40 cm with a carpet Aquasabi suggests a second light. An optional cable suspension kit lets the B45 hang above the tank instead of standing on its feet.
