The Fluval 3 in 1 Cleaning Brush Set (SKU: FA68) is an essential maintenance kit designed to keep filter hosing, intake stems, spray bars, impellers, and airline tubing clean. As part of Fluval’s complete line of cleaning accessories, the Cleaning Brush Set offers effective all-around cleaning to help maintain peak performance of your filter equipment. Over time, bio-film and organic algae buildup inside filter tubes can reduce water flow by up to 50%. Featuring three specialised flexible brushes, this set restores maximum pump performance, water circulation, and filtration efficiency.

Usage & Application

When to Use

  • Routine Filter Maintenance: Use during monthly or quarterly filter servicing to remove biofilm inside tubes.

  • Flow Rate Restoration: Apply whenever reduced water output or filter sluggishness is observed.

How to Use

  1. Large Foxtail Brush (5 cm head / 45 cm length): Insert into flexible ribbed or smooth hosing (up to 1″ / 2.5 cm diameter) and pull through to push out algae and sludge.

  2. Filter Stem Brush (2.5 cm head / 27 cm length): Clean intake stems, strainers, spray bars, intake U-pipes, and output nozzles.

  3. Airline / Impeller Brush (1 cm head / 34 cm length): Insert into 4 mm airline tubing, small pump passages, impeller covers, and impeller wells.

  4. Rinse brushes thoroughly with tap water after use and dry before storing.
