Mag-float Long (l89 X W35 X H25mm) (SKU: BM100480) is the elongated medium size in Gulfstream Tropical Aquarium’s Mag-Float range, a two-piece magnet cleaner measuring 89 x 35 x 24.5 mm that is rated for glass 6 to 10 mm thick and sized by Gulfstream for aquariums up to around 475 litres. The longer shape covers more glass per stroke than the Small, so fewer passes clear the same front pane. As with the rest of the range, the outer magnet is dragged by hand across the outside of the tank and an abrasive inner pad follows it on the inside, so algae comes off without reaching into the water.

The Long is made for both glass and acrylic tanks in freshwater and marine set-ups. Side-rail versions take the Mag-Clip feeding clip (SKU BM100476, shared with the Small) for holding a vegetable or seaweed sheet, and the same side rails accept the stainless steel replacement scraper two-pack (SKU BM100459) for the occasional hard deposit a scrub pad alone will not shift. A matching replacement pad and felt set (SKU BM200126) is sold for this size, since the felt backing and scrubbing pad wear with use and are designed to be peeled off and replaced rather than the whole cleaner discarded. If the two halves separate, the inner magnet floats to the surface instead of sinking into the substrate, keeping sand and grit out of the pad and avoiding a hand in the tank to retrieve it. The housing is non-toxic plastic, and the neodymium magnet pair is stated by Gulfstream to hold its grip over time.
