Aquasonic Marine Vertonex 250ml (SKU: AQS33) is a reef-safe treatment that provides a larger volume of broad-spectrum marine medication to treat white spot/Marine Ich (Cryptocaryon irritans), Brooklynella, and associated skin/fin infections. Ideal for larger marine setups or multi-tank quarantine systems, this 250ml bottle ensures aquarists can complete full multi-dose treatment cycles necessary to eradicate persistent marine protozoans completely. Unlike most marine treatments, Vertonex can be used safely in tanks containing corals and invertebrates, making it ideal for reef setups.

Caution: Some sensitive species, such as Centropyge angelfish and bivalves, may require extra care during treatment, and corals may temporarily withdraw.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• Widespread Marine Ich Outbreaks: Treat marine setups experiencing widespread white spot or protozoan infections across multiple fish (small white cysts, flashing, laboured breathing).

• Clownfish Disease (Brooklynella): Apply during outbreaks of Brooklynella hostilis causing rapid skin sloughing and lethargy.

• Routine Stock Quarantining: Use in dedicated marine quarantine tanks for treating newly acquired marine livestock.

How to Use

1. Deactivate UV sterilisers, protein skimmers, and remove chemical filtration media (carbon, resins).

2. Boost aeration using an air pump or additional surface agitation.

3. Dosage Rate: Add 5 mL per 20 L of aquarium water.

4. Re-dose every 3 days until fish are free of spots and skin lesions, performing a 20% to 25% water change before each dose. Perform a major water change approximately 14 days after the first dose.

5. Remove bivalves (clams, mussels) during treatment. Perform a final water change and reintroduce chemical filtration once treatment is finalised.
