Description
Ornament Rainbow With Pot Of Gold Medium 12wx4dx6.5cmh — Rainbow and pot-of-gold feature for small to mid-size freshwater tanks
A tank can use a bit of whimsy alongside the usual rocks, logs and plants. Ornament Rainbow With Pot Of Gold Medium 12wx4dx6.5cmh (SKU: 37500M) is the medium size of Aqua One’s Rainbow With Pot Of Gold ornament, measuring 12 x 4 x 6.5 cm, a novelty piece pairing an arched rainbow with a pot-of-gold figure at its base, made from non-toxic, aquarium-safe material. The shallow 4 cm depth lets it sit close against the back or side glass without taking up much swimming room.
Aqua One lists it as suitable for coldwater and freshwater tropical fish tanks, and the piece needs no special preparation beyond a rinse before use, like the rest of the brand’s small novelty ornaments. A large version of the same design is also sold at 16 x 5.5 x 8.5 cm for bigger displays, so the two sizes can be matched to the tank or paired together for a bigger feature. The medium size is the better fit for standard to small community tanks, where the larger piece would look out of scale. Because the piece is shallow rather than deep, it also works tucked beside a filter or heater to soften the look of equipment against the glass without blocking flow around it.
Usage & Application
When to Use
- Small to mid-size freshwater tanks: A compact novelty piece that doesn’t crowd the display.
- Against the back glass: The shallow 4 cm depth suits placement close to the wall.
- Themed aquascapes: A playful feature alongside other small ornaments.
- Coldwater and tropical community tanks: One design for either temperature range.
Placement & Care Guide
- Rinse before adding: Clear dust before placing it in the tank.
- Position against the back: Use the shallow depth to sit it close to the rear glass.
- Leave swimming room: Keep it clear of the filter outlet and heater.
- Clean during water changes: Wipe by hand rather than with chemical cleaners.
