P0086S Alligator Head 11×25.8×12.8

Description

P0086S Alligator Head 11×25.8×12.8 — Resin alligator head cave ornament sized for small and medium tanks

A single strong ornament gives a small tank a focal point, and an animal head with an open mouth doubles as a cave the fish will actually use. P0086S Alligator Head 11×25.8×12.8 (SKU: AH25) is a resin aquarium ornament shaped as an alligator’s head, measuring approximately 11 × 25.8 × 12.8 cm. The 25.8 cm length is its longest dimension, so it lies low along the substrate rather than standing tall, and the hollow head forms a hiding place for small fish and shrimp.

Resin is a common material for aquarium decor because it holds fine detail and stays put underwater, and this piece is described by the supplier as easy to clean. Its size suits aquariums from about 45 to 90 cm long, where it can sit in the foreground or against rockwork without taking over the swimming space. Bottom dwellers such as corydoras, small plecos, loaches and dwarf cichlids are the likeliest residents, and in a betta tank it gives a resting spot out of the current. Before placing it, rinse under plain water and check the openings for any rough edges that could catch long fins. Set it on the base glass or firmly in the gravel so burrowing fish cannot undermine it. During maintenance, lift it out and brush away algae under tank water, avoiding soap and chemical cleaners. The code P0086S marks this as the small model; the store also carries the much larger Croc Head XL (P0086L, CH52) for big displays.
