POS40G Dino Head Glow 18×11.5×12.4

Description

POS40G Dino Head Glow 18×11.5×12.4 — Glow-finish dinosaur skull ornament with a hollow cave for small fish

Dinosaurs turn a fish tank into something children want to look at every day, and a skull half-buried in the gravel tells a story without a word. POS40G Dino Head Glow 18×11.5×12.4 (SKU: RX18G) is an aquarium ornament shaped as a dinosaur head with a glow finish, measuring about 18 × 11.5 × 12.4 cm. The head is hollow, with openings that give small fish and shrimp somewhere to hide and explore, and the glow finish is intended to stand out in the aquarium as a focal point.

At 18 cm long it suits aquariums from about 40 to 90 cm, sitting in the foreground or against a rock or wood background. It works in a tropical community, a betta tank or a goldfish set-up, and the hollow interior is used by small catfish, loaches, dwarf cichlids and shrimp. How bright the glow finish appears depends on the tank lighting, so it is worth viewing the ornament in place under the planned light before settling on a position. Pair it with sand, slate and driftwood for a fossil-dig or prehistoric scene. Before it goes in, rinse it in plain water and check that the openings are free of sharp edges. During tank maintenance, brush algae off gently with a soft brush in tank water; abrasive pads and household cleaners can dull the finish and leave residues that harm fish. Siphon around and inside the head at water changes, since hollow ornaments collect waste. The supplier code POS40G identifies the glow version of this design.
