Red Sea Coral Pro Salt 20kg Refill Box 600ltr (SKU: RED178) is 20 kg of Coral Pro Salt in Red Sea’s compact cardboard refill box, the same formula as the bucket and enough for about 600 L of seawater. Coral Pro is the maker’s premium-grade, high-alkalinity salt: at 35 ppt it mixes to 12 dKH, 465 ppm calcium and 1,390 ppm magnesium, raised and biologically balanced foundation elements that Red Sea describes as ideal for mixed reefs and SPS frag tanks.

Red Sea introduced the refill boxes to put less plastic into circulation; the salt can be poured into an existing bucket or used straight from the box, kept closed to stop clumping. The formula itself is unchanged: solar-evaporated sodium chloride from Red Sea water, a full complement of trace elements, no nitrates or phosphates, no chemical binders, no toxic heavy-metal levels, low moisture and parameters guaranteed for a 10 L mix. Red Sea’s mixing method applies, RO water at about 20 °C, no aeration, 0.5 to 2 hours, then warming to 25 °C, with the Coral Pro rule that mixed water is used within 12 hours.

Mixing Guide

• Keep it dry: Pour into a sealed bucket or close the box firmly between uses.
• Cool RO water, salt added to it: About 20 °C, submerged pump, no aeration, 0.5 to 2 hours.
• Warm and check: 25 °C, pH 8.2 to 8.4, salinity on a seawater refractometer.
• Use within 12 hours: Mix Coral Pro for the change at hand, not for storage.
