Description

BL Sansibar Dark is an ultra-fine, natural granite sand designed to create a realistic, calm, and fish-safe aquarium environment. With a smooth grain size of 0.2–0.6 mm, it closely replicates natural riverbed and lake substrates, making it ideal for aquariums housing bottom-dwelling fish, invertebrates, and planted layouts.

The fine, rounded grains are gentle on sensitive barbels, making Sansibar particularly suitable for catfish, loaches, and other grubbing species. Its dark, non-reflective colour enhances the natural colouring of fish and plants while helping timid species feel more secure.

Suitable for both freshwater and marine aquariums, JBL Sansibar Dark is chemically neutral and will not release unwanted pollutants into the water.
