The Fluval AquaClear AC Surface Skimmer Unit Medium (SKU: FAQ08) is an essential accessory attachment engineered for AquaClear 20, 30, and 50 Hang-On Power Filters. By connecting directly to the filter’s intake siphon tube, this surface skimmer draws water simultaneously from both the surface and the lower water column, pulling away oily organic films, dust, and floating plant debris.

Removing surface bio-film drastically improves light penetration for photosynthetic corals and aquatic plants while enhancing gas exchange and oxygenation across the water’s surface.

Usage & Application

When to Use

  • Surface Bio-Film Removal: Eliminates unsightly slick, oil-like organic surface scum from aquarium water.

How to Use / Installation Process
