Usage & Application

When to Use

• Routine Water Quality Monitoring: Test weekly to track organic waste accumulation and schedule timely water changes.

• Algae Control: Test whenever experiencing sudden or persistent nuisance algae growth in freshwater or reef aquariums.

How to Use

1. Fill a clean test tube with 5 mL of aquarium water up to the marked fill line.

2. Add 10 drops of Nitrate Test Solution #1, cap the test tube, and invert several times to mix.

3. Vigorously shake Nitrate Test Solution #2 for at least 30 seconds (essential to thoroughly mix the active reagent components).

4. Add 10 drops of Nitrate Test Solution #2 to the test tube.

5. Cap the test tube and shake vigorously for 1 full minute to ensure complete reagent activation.

6. Wait 5 minutes for the colour to develop, then compare the liquid colour against the included freshwater or saltwater colour card.
