AmGuard™ is a powerful liquid solution that quickly and safely detoxifies harmful free ammonia in aquariums, making it ideal for cycling tanks and emergencies. As the strongest binder available, its effects last for nearly 72 hours, converting ammonia into a safe form that the biofilter can easily remove without affecting pH. It’s important to use ammonia test kits that specifically measure free ammonia, like Ammonia Alert® or MultiTest™ Free & Total Ammonia, as traditional kits can give false positives due to their high pH operation where AmGuard™ is ineffective.
