Macropore turns darker brown as it reached capacity but can be recharged depending on its usage. If used in a freshwater environment this product can be recharged with a 6% saline solution. If used in a marine aquarium a bleach solution can be used to recharge the product._x000d_

1L of Macropore will treat 4800L of water for approximately 6 months.
